Complex Citrus and Tropical Notes finish with Creamy Dark Chocolate
Approaching the humble wooden shack house below this rustic farm one might be forgiven for not expecting too much from the coffee. But as ever the wild and rustic setting of Bolivian jungle coffee is full of potential and waiting to be revealed by incredible farmers like Mery.
The remote community of Kantutani is a jungle mountain with wild Jaguars roaming throughout. Mery works from her simple hermitage below her recently planted Catuai and Gesha trees with a confidence and steadiness that is surprising and inspiring.
Mery Avircata is new to coffee but not to farming in Bolivia after a career as a Cacao production manager in the lower Amazon region of Alto Beni. She is sweet and kind with gracious hospitality with a determined, resourceful and calculated approach to her farming and processing. Mery is a problem solver and an innovator and is one of the most exciting new producers we’ve partnered with over the years.
